Terms and conditions of registration an payment for Comenius Courses / AOG:

Article 1: Registration

1. Registration for a course is possible only by means of the form enclosed with the brochure and registration will be for the full unbroken study period.

2. Registrations are considered to have been accepted by AOG, when AOG has confirmed this in writing.

3. Cancelling a registration before the start of the course must be done by means of a notification via registered letter. If such a notification is received at least 14 days before the start of the first module, 75% of the course fee will be returned the participant.

4. Cancellation by the participant during the course is not possible.

5. The registration is ratified by the signature on the registration form.

Article 2: Terms and conditions of payment

1. The Course fees, the overall costs of the Course, have been specified in the corresponding course brochure. The Course fees (see course brochure) must be paid within 14 days after receipt of the invoice.

2. In case of payment arrears by a participant, AOG shall have the right to refuse access to the Course for as long as the payment obligations have not been met. AOG shall also have the right to terminate the relationship with the participant if payment obliga­tions are not duly met.

3. A direct arrangement for payment of the tuition fees by the participant’s employer shall be accepted only when the latter co-signs the study agreement. The payment obligations will then be transferred from the participant to his/her employer the moment the fully completed registration form (co-)signed by the paying organisation has arrived at AOG.

Article 3: The modules

1. The locations for the various modules and the module times are listed in the corresponding study schedule. AOG reserves the right to change the schedule in special situations.

2. AOG reserves the right to modify the set-up and the content of the course in special situations.

Article 4: Certificate and Association

After completion of the Course the participants will receive a Certificate of Participation on behalf of the University of Groningen and the other universities associated to the Course. The certificate provides admission to membership of the Comenius Association. The members of this association are former participants, lecturers, moderators and monitoring committee members. The Comenius Association holds a work meeting once or twice a year that will focus on the creation of knowledge and insight around the topics dealt with in the Courses. Overall quality monitoring is in the hands of the AOG management.

Article 5: Copyrights and ownership rights of the course materials

After completion of the Course the educational materials will become the property of the participant. AOG is the owner of the copyrights of the provided and collected educational tools. These tools are not available in shops and intended for use by participants of AOG courses exclusively.. Subject to legal exceptions, nothing from these educational tools may be multiplied and/or published without express permission in writing by AOG.

Article 6: Applicability of the terms and conditions

By signing the registration form the student participant declares to have taken cognizance of and to accept the terms and conditions of the relevant course brochure. These terms and conditions and the provisions stated in the relevant course brochure constitute the entire agreement. Modifications and/or additions are possible only when agreed upon in writing.

Article 7: Liability

If additional expenses need to be made due to calamities and/or natural disasters, they will not be to the account of AOG but to the accounts of the participants.
